For over 20 years, Bassett has been host to many from across the United States who come to exhibit or view new technology and enterprises at the Ranch Expo. This year will be no exception. The legend will continue in Bassett with the reorganization of the "Sandhills Ranch Expo" scheduled for June 15 and 16 at the Rock County Fairgrounds in conjunction with the large craft show at Rock County High school.
The great thing is...it's FREE to view!!!
The Sandhills Ranch Expo offers something for everyone!
It is an excellent opportunity to see first-hand the state of the art ranching equipment and more. From cattle and cattle chutes, ATV's to livestock feed dealers, from sunglasses to toy vendors, to arts and crafts and quilted handiwork...the list just goes on and on.
There is a huge selection of great food -- tender prime rib or steak sandwiches, some of the best barbecue around, funnel cakes, bloomin' onions, walking tacos, turkey legs and fried Oreos and beverages for all. The well-shaded beer garden is manned by the Bassett Country Club.
The 2011 Wednesday night entertainment will begin with top quality, extreme bull riding/fighting. Cowboys brave the eight second ride on bulls determined to throw them to the ground. Bull fighters risk their lives to insure the safety of the cowboy. There's sure to be plenty of thrills and spills.
A shuttle service will once again be provided for transportation from the fairgrounds...to the high school...and downtown.
There is also plenty of extra parking at the Rock County High School, or at the Bassett Livestock Auction.
